Darin Pastor, currently CEO of Capstone Financial Group, Inc., previously served at major financial institutions such as JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the Prudential Insurance Company of America. Earlier, Darin Pastor worked at his family’s business as division manager of the franchise operations of the Pepsi-Cola Buffalo Bottling Corp. from 1989 – 1996, in charge of distributing and marketing products from Procter & Gamble and Cadbury.

In 2008, a well-documented spin-off separated the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group from Cadbury, plc, under which it had previously operated as Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages. Cadbury’s leadership sought in the spin-off to focus on its roots in the confectionary business, allowing the DPS Group to concentrate on the soft drinks side of its operations. Today, the DPS Group features such iconic brands as 7UP, Canada Dry, and Hawaiian Punch.

The Cadbury brand got its start in the early years of the 19th century, when John Cadbury of Birmingham, England, began offering chocolate and cocoa products in his coffee and tea shop at 93 Bull Street. A few generations later, the company moved to a new factory in Bournville, England, and began producing its first milk chocolate treats. Cadbury Creme Eggs remain especially popular today, with their gooey fondant filling and limited availability at the Easter season.

In 1969, Cadbury merged with the Schweppes beverage company, itself founded in Switzerland before the French Revolution.
